RentRight beta terms

These terms explain the basic rules for using RentRight during the private beta.

Private Beta

  • RentRight is currently a private beta. Features may change, be paused, or be improved as we learn from early landlords, property managers, tenants, and shortlet owners.
  • Access may be limited while we test reliability, onboarding, payment readiness, SMS readiness, and product fit.

What RentRight Does

  • RentRight helps users keep shared records of rent payments, receipts, properties, units, invite codes, messages, maintenance requests, and shortlet booking activity where those tools are available.
  • RentRight is a record-keeping and communication tool. It does not replace professional legal, financial, tax, estate-management, or dispute-resolution advice.

Payments

  • During the MVP and private beta, RentRight does not hold landlord rent or guarantee payment collection.
  • Manual payment records should reflect real payments made through channels agreed by the landlord and tenant.
  • Online payment and payout features may be enabled after platform verification is complete and should only be used according to the instructions shown in the product.

User Responsibilities

  • Users should provide accurate account, property, unit, rent, payment, receipt, tenant, and booking information.
  • Users should only invite people they are allowed to connect with and should not impersonate landlords, tenants, agents, owners, guests, or RentRight staff.
  • Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and notifying us if they suspect unauthorized access.

Acceptable Use

  • Do not use RentRight for fraud, harassment, spam, unlawful activity, fake rental records, misleading receipts, unauthorized scraping, or attempts to bypass product limits.
  • Do not upload or send content that you do not have the right to share or that exposes another person to avoidable harm.

Availability And Changes

  • We aim to keep RentRight reliable, but beta services may experience bugs, downtime, rate limits, provider issues, or temporary feature restrictions.
  • We may update these terms as the product, compliance posture, and platform integrations mature.
